At first glance, spiritualism and martial arts may not seem connected, but the more you delve into the origins and ethos of martial arts, the more you realise that the two are intertwined. In this blog, we explore the various spiritual aspects of martial arts in whatever form they take. Many of the of the original martial arts styles such as Karate and Aikido have very strong spiritual roots where members are trained to develop their spiritual being as much as their physical body.

While most, if not all martial arts are linked with eastern religions, the basic principles of martials arts and spiritually are all interconnected. For example, Karate involves emptying one’s mind of outer distractions while Aikido involves mastering the self and the environment.
